Welcome!  Faith Community Nurses International is currently revising and updating our Members Only site.  Please be patient as this site will be under major construction initially and will hopefully provide a center for continued information vital to your practice.  If you have recommendations or information to share please contact the Technology Committee at contact@fcninternational.org

American Nurses Association (ANA)

In addition to these resources, ANA has developed Social Policy Statements on a variety of issues, including end-of-life, human rights, forgoing nutrition and hydration.  While these policy statements are generalized for nursing, denominational websites may provide additional faith-based resources specific to the denomination.

Denominational Resources
The major denominations have websites available.  A few examples of denominations with printed materials or networking opportunities are:


Health Ministries Association, Inc. (HMA)
Health ministries within a faith community include the ministries providing and promoting wholistic health.  HMA includes ministers, faith community nurses, program leaders, and spiritual leaders of diverse faith communities.  HMA and the American Nurses Association (ANA) have now published the 3rd edition of the Faith Community Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice https://hmassoc.org/

Westberg Institute
The International Parish Resource Center relocated to the Westberg Institute, Information for the International Parish/Faith Community Nursing Networks is available at https://westberginstitute.org/international-faith-community-nursing/ Numerous resources are available through this organization.
