Description: Faith Community Nurses are currently experiencing burnout from the post-Covid period we are in. An additional challenge is the reluctance of church leadership to support FCN practice. FCNs should have the ability to practice their specialty and maintain a sense of well-being for themselves and the clients they serve.

Learning outcome: Upon completion of the activity, nurses will be able to:

1.Identify two strategies to practice self-care.

Bio: Esther Brown is a nurse leader, career FCN, pastor, nurse faculty, and dean of her denominational seminary who has worked in health care and ministry for over 40 years. She continues practice in the community with FCNs experiencing burnout and regularly provides support and resources for the greater FCN community.
