This virtual conference focuses on the application of research to practice and the relationship of practice to research. Included is increasing understanding and practice skills that best soften suffering with patients/families experiencing serious illness or end-of-life conditions. Practice identifies methods of creative and useful ways to aid those that suffer from chronic hunger and food insecurity in conjunction with service projects in faith communities. Research reveals evidence-based strategies to develop a culturally relevant physical activity program for midlife South Asian Indian Immigrant women in local congregations. Opportunities for faith community nursing involves improving skills, addressing spiritual needs such as inner chaos, and nurturing resilience.
