  • Description: This conference explores spiritual care, end-of-life communication, and trauma-informed approaches  for vulnerable populations. This activity equips faith community nurses with evidence-based strategies for holistic  practice, concluding with a vital focus on the healing power of sleep and self-care for the practitioner.
    Outcomes: Upon completion of activities at this conference, learners will be able to:
    1.     Describe 2 types of ministry that the FCN can provide to anyone they serve regardless of spiritual/religious beliefs.
    2.      Identify 2 core principles for end-of-life communication with patients and families.
    3.      Discuss 2 Trauma-Informed Care approaches when engaging vulnerable populations.
    4.      Describe 2 evidence-based sleep hygiene strategies that nurses can implement.

  • This activity has been submitted to the Northeast Multistate Division Education Unit for approval to award contact hours. The Northeast Multistate Division Education Unit is an accredited approver of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
